You deserve support in this vital season.

Cristine provided such compassionate support for me while I was pregnant and into the newborn season. I had been anxious about so many things and now I’m learning how to give myself compassion, not compare myself to the moms of Instagram, and just be the best mom I can be for my child.

Support for your growing family

Pregnancy

This precious season is filled with excitement and typically anxiety. The reality that you are growing your family sets in and there are so many unknowns about the future.

Therapy during pregnancy can help with:

  • shifting identities

  • anxiety and depression

  • planning for postpartum

  • clarity about priorities

  • communication with your partner

  • naming needs under your emotions

Intensives

The modern individual &/or couple doesn’t have time for weekly therapy. Intensives allow you to set intentional time aside to plan for your transition into parenthood. Communicating about things prior to baby arrives will set you up for success when you are short on sleep and high on hormones.
We’ll take a deep dive into your own childhoods to explore parenting values, fine tune your communication skills and ultimately get in touch with what each partner needs to keep their identity as your roles change.

Postpartum

Postpartum refers to the time period between birth and the baby’s first two years of life. Perinatal mood disorders can show up anytime from pregnancy - two years postpartum.

Therapy during postpartum can help with:

  • your birth story

  • birth trauma

  • bonding with baby

  • anxiety and depression

  • the comparison trap

  • identity shifts

You’re worth the investment.

Why work with me?

  • Work with a licensed marriage and family therapist who has advanced training in perinatal mental health, including perinatal trauma.

  • Perinatal mental health is the reason I became a therapist. The importance of supporting moms (and dads) in this season is unmeasurable. In a culture that devalues mothers, I’m here to support you and watch you bloom into the parent you are meant to be with confidence and joy.

Prior to becoming a maternal mental health therapist, I spent years supporting moms and families as a birth, postpartum and bereavement doula. I know first hand what families experience and how to help them transition smoothly to parenthood.

  • I personally experienced perinatal mood disorders when I had babies….and back when there were fewer resources for new moms. My lived experience gives me a unique ability to empathize with what you are going through. I’m here to help normalize your experience and offer hope for your process and healing. You have everything you need to be the exact mom your baby needs. I’m here to help you see that. Together, we’ll get through this.

frequently asked questions

  • Made Whole Counseling is an in-person practice, especially for intensives. I do make special exceptions for those unable / uncomfortable leaving their home.

It’s helpful for moms to leave the house, but I’m also flexible if a virtual appointment is easier for you.

  • Most of my availability is Monday-Friday.

Couples Intensive Sessions can be scheduled on weekends.

  • I have found the best work is done with consistency. Meeting weekly at first will allow you to see progress more quickly. Once you are feeling more like yourself, we can space sessions out to bi-weekly until you’re ready for a break.

  • 50 minute sessions are $180

    90 minute sessions are $325

3 hour sessions are $300 per hour

Please inquire about weekend rates & availability.

  • No, I do not accept insurance. All of my services are private pay - with a credit card, FSA, or HSA.

I am happy to provide you with the necessary paperwork (superbill / receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for a portion of the session fee.

Please know that not all insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers and some plans may have a deductible or an allowable amount. I recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your card and speak to a representative for details about your specific plan.

In order for insurance companies to accept a superbill, a diagnosis has to be included on the form.
