Religious Trauma
Religious trauma is not a one-size fits all term. It refers to when a person’s religious experiences are harmful, stressful, degrading or abusive. This can have a lasting impact on a person’s emotional, spiritual, mental and physical states.

What it’s like to work with me
In our sessions together, you get to show up as you are.
Literally, all parts of you are welcome in my office. Likely you have conflicting parts of you that are uneasy about exploring faith & religious experiences….especially with a therapist!
Faith transitions turn your world upside-down.
Your identity, value, time, money, purpose, community & more can all be called into question and leave you scrambling for answers.
As you explore your faith, there is NO agenda. I will provide you with ample space and compassion as you explore your own path forward.
No matter where you are on your journey —- if you are just starting, or have been on this path for years, you are welcome here.
“I will not stay, not ever again–in a room or conversation or relationship or institution that requires me to abandon myself.”
